About the Pantry

Faith Food Pantry provides 3-5 day supplies of food to individuals and families in need in Austin, Texas.  We work only with partner agencies that provide support services to clients; our agreement with the Central Texas Food Bank does not permit us to serve individuals directly.  We're open most weekdays around lunchtime, and we're located in near south Austin.

The Pantry is a ministry of Faith Presbyterian Church, and is run entirely by volunteers.

If you're with an agency and you'd like to work with us to serve your clients, please contact us.

If you're interested in volunteering, please also contact us. No religious affiliation required.

If you need support or assistance, take a look at the Pocket Resource Guide for Austin, which has addresses and numbers for a variety of services.

Get Started Ordering Food for Your Clients

Thank you so much for using Faith Food Pantry.  We love serving our community.  We only distribute food through social workers.  If you are an individual or family seeking food directly, please check out Bread for All at https://austincitylutherans.org/food/.

If your agency has not worked with us before, please email faithfp1314@gmail.com to discuss your work with our coordinator.

We are open weekdays between 11am and 1pm.  If AISD cancels school for weather, we close.  We are usually closed the week between Christmas and New Years, as well as national holidays.

You should have received our unlisted number via other communications.  Please do not share this number with anyone except other agents in your agency.

To get started using the pantry, we need you to 1) complete a one-hour online civil rights training; and 2) bring us a form with your own contact information when you pick up your first order (the form has fillable fields, but requires signature).  Links to both follow at the buttons below.

Upon completion, please email your certificate to assistant@faithpantry.org. Our Entity Name is “Faith Food Pantry” and our Entity ID is PA096.

Bring this form with you the first time you pick up an order.

Placing Orders

Here’s what you need to know when you place orders:

  • For each family you order for, we’ll need a Spanish or English intake form signed by an adult family member (now two pages).  Please also complete the third page, so we can connect you to the family. We can’t give you food without this form.  They have fillable fields, and are available below.

  • To place your first order, call our unlisted number as soon after 11am as possible on the day you intend to pick up.   We’ll need the first and last names of any family members 18+, and the number of children and adults. We’d also like the children’s ages and any dietary needs like diabetes or food allergies.

  • The person who takes your order will let you know the earliest time that your order will be ready.  You may show up anytime between then and 1pm. See map below to find your way. Please bring your forms.  If you plan to deliver the food more than 20-30 minutes after pickup, please bring an insulated bag or cooler with cold packs to keep eggs, milk, and meat cold.

Forms

The USDA and Central Texas Food Bank require us to keep an intake form for each order.  Please complete an intake form (below) for each order you place.

Forms revised June 2021 to reflect the updated Federal Participant Rights & Responsibilities.

These forms are fillable PDFs.
